Week 3 The Sun Didn't Shine
I love this song!! I think it has the best beat to it. The first time I listened to it I wasn’t really listening to what the lyrics were saying. I thought it was a really good vibe. Then I began paying attention to what the song was saying. It is actually is talking about the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. How they hammered him to the cross and blood gush from his side as they hammered his hands to the cross. This song is very interesting to me because it is very sad situation their lord is dying on the cross, but they sing in a light tone. The story is kind of dark and sad the title fits well the sun didn’t shine but they sing I feel as if it was the opposite. They really make this song lively .This song is clearly scared music and gospel centered. The Golden Gate Quartet does a wonderful job singing this song. Their voice jive so well together the harmony between their voice was great. I love to hear the guys in the back singing and harmonizing then the strong lead vocalist pops in but you can still hear the men in the back. I really enjoyed listening to this song
